Business-to-Business Sales Position
Primary Functions:
Outside Business-to-Business sales position requiring advanced communication skills and a thorough knowledge of insurance products available through the agency.
Capable of pursuing and closing sales of new commercial lines accounts and retaining sold accounts with the help of the service team.
Major Responsibilities
Achieve objectives established in annual producer sales plan.
Prospect for new business from existing clients and identified target groups.
Contact prospects for the purpose of pricing a quote and making sales appointments.
Survey prospects to determine insurance needs, inspecting current insurance policies, risk management plans, property, products and records.
Collect detailed risk and underwriting information including survey data and loss history.
Develop and deliver formal proposals of insurance including details of coverage’s, limits, deductibles and other pertinent information.
Work with service person or marketer to complete company submissions and selection of potential markets.
Conduct client and prospect appointments communicating proposals and renewals, explaining details and communicating desire to conduct business.
Introduce service person to clients and request that service calls be directed to them and forward all service related calls to assigned service person.
Stay informed of all claims or service issues and become involved in resolution when required.
Participate in renewals, when appropriate, by reviewing expiration listing with service person to determine appropriate action and collection of information to prepare renewal submissions.
Maintain production reports and attend all sales meetings as required.
Perform other specific duties and projects as assigned by agency management.
Qualifications
Proven ability to pursue and close sales
Bachelor’s degree obtained
Minimum of three years of experience in sales
Proficiency with agency management software-preferred
Commercial Lines Customer Service Representative (CSR)
Primary Functions:
To provide quality customer service to all commercial lines account in the insurance agency, including new and renewal lines of business.
Accurate and courteous service to our fellow employees, clients, producers and company personnel.
Major Responsibilities
Directly responsible for the daily service requirements on book of commercial lines of business.
Interact with clients via phone, e-mail, and in-person to review existing policies and quote new business as well as refer new lines of coverage, as needed.
Rate and quote new and renewal business. Prepare quotes for new and renewal business to review with insured. Assist clients with claim submission, as needed.
Review and process applications, renewal requests, policies and endorsements for accuracy. Interact and maintain positive relationship with carrier contacts.
Receive and process payments for clients via in-person, e-mail, and mail.
Keep producer informed of all important activities on accounts including being sensitive to potential problems and informing management.
Assist other agency employees in securing and/or providing information necessary to issue appropriate policies for other lines of business.
Assist other CSR’s as needed, including taking calls from client(s) if the usual CSR is not available.
Maintain paperless files along with some limited hard copy files.
Attend continuing education courses to retain license.
Complete other essential functions as assigned.
Qualifications
Compatible with Microsoft Office applications
NYS Licensed Property Casualty-required
Proficiency with agency management software-preferred
Bachelor’s degree obtained
Minimum of two years of experience in service
